dStudio Website Redesign & Update

I’ve just finished an update of a website that I first designed in January 2006, it’s actually to advertise the company that I work for. It has been completely redesigned with a new ‘bouncy’ navigation that has been described as “therapeutic”, the original site was slightly over complicated to update with way too many style sheets, so that has now been scaled back with a simple template which contains 2 columns – the first containing all the content with the second column housing a snapshot of recent updates to the site.

the dStudio website brings in many potential customers to our company that any other advertising wouldn’t be able to, so it is very important to us. we spend a lot of time refining the search engine techniques, such as applying to sites for rhetorical links, updating meta tags and most importantly – google adwords, which for a very little cost brings in specific customers.

really cool tee's

check out these cool t-shirts from website Threadless, loads of funky and sometimes geeky designs. What’s really good is that you can upload a photo of yourself in your new purchase and they will display it on the website – yep, you are the model!

uk versions of the apple vs pc advert

the original adverts featured 2 american chaps discussing the pro’s of owning and using a mac and the con’s of owning a pc including virus’s and having to read all those manuals. well now we’ve got versions featuring british comedians David Mitchell and Robert Webb from Channel 4’s Peep Show.

you can view all the new uk versions here.

been a long time…

yeah – i’ve been busy, i’ve been away and it’s still probably no reason for not posting anything. so a brief catch up and promise of some new posts very soon.

we went to dublin last weekend for a couple of days, had a great trip – it was my first time to dublin and it’s a really great city and saturday night was a proper night out in the company of 2 fantastic djs, ali and steve @ the morgan – it was like someone playing out all your records and a few that you should own to a really cool crowd in a great venue.

it wasn’t just partying though, we did the shopping thing and paid a trip to the national gallery where i got to see a Rembrandt and a Picasso – it was full of renaissance and classical arts, some more modern stuff would of been nice!

i’ve added some photo’s on to my image gallery, we got some nice shots on the plane back as well as some nice light and textures images in the hotel – which was really well designed and is highly recommended for anyone visiting Dublin.
