I was hoping to take the majority of this year off from accepting new client work, only taking on new projects and updates from existing clients as well as concentrating on a handful of personal projects - but after four months off I'm now making myself available for new projects!

Usually, at the beginning of a project, after receiving and agreeing the brief, I'll start putting together images - sort of a mood board, but in a folder on my Mac - I look for lots of different things, UI elements like navigations and forms, typography, photography, textures and patterns, icons and colour palettes. For a while now I've wanted a way of keeping these images filed away for future use but I've never managed to get a system going that I've been happy with. Over the last few days I've been toying with a couple of solutions.

The along came This Is My Jam, which pretty much did the exact same thing - only a little more socially. I didn't just want to abandon my Tumblr blog, so set about integrating my This Is My Jam updates in amongst the YouTube videos I was still adding.

Last year was the first time I had written a list of new years resolutions for myself, mainly aimed at my goals for work, but also taking in family and personal goals. Last week a wrote a review of that list, I did OK, but not brilliant. I definitely over reached, wanting to do too much - taking on both more client work and more personal projects. So this year will be a little different.
