Color Stream iPhone App
September 5th, 2010 in Design, ToolsI’ve been playing with the free version of Peppermint on the iPhone for a while to create colour palettes and it’s been pretty good, but now there’s a new app called Color Stream and it’s really very good.
The app is very simple to use, there’s three different options to create a palette – you can select a colour from RGB or CMYK sliders and then cycle through different palette options such as triadic, complimentary and analogous. These palettes can then be saved for later. Alternatively, you can create a palette from either a photo in your photo library or one that you take using the iPhone’s camera. There are some great palettes in nature and this app allows you to access them, it’s able to create really great palettes from photos.

over the last few years i have bookmarked sites that i find that help me out on whatever design brief i am working on, whether it is inspiration or stock images or a new and fancy font to use. the list is getting quite comprehensive so i thought i would share it, here goes.
